(Tanya Mullen) has just issued herself a 28 day healthy living challenge. 4 weeks. I can do this. I deserve this.
For the next 28 days I will:
... sleep 7 hrs per night minimum
... drink 3 litres of water per day
... lift weights twice per week
... do cardio 4 times/week to train for my first 5k
... eat 5 small meals per day
... concentrate on healthy protein, fat and veggies
... NOT eat fast food
... ... NOT eat wheat
... NOT drink alcohol
... NOT drink pop
I honestly can't wait to see how I feel in 28 days!

So today was Day 1, and so far it's been a success. I planned last night ... for the gym, what to eat, etc, and it was what saved me. I haven't craved anything I wasn't supposed to have but the KD and cupcakes the kids had at supper time were a bit tempting. A bit.
Here's how today went down:
I slept for 7.5 hrs (a slight interuption when A crashed out of his bed at 5:30 but right back to sleep for an hour!)
I drank 2.5 L of water so far, only a couple of cups to go!
B - 2 eggs with 1 slice of thin balogna and peppers
S - activia yogurt with 1 tbsp each slivered almonds, walnuts and unsweetened coconut
L - chicken breast and 1.5 cups green beans
S - 1 c homemade chili
D - 2 hotdogs with bacon bits and parm, ceasar salad, no croutons
if I get hungry this evening, I'm having 20 almonds and red pepper hummus :)
I went to the gym at lunch time and spent 30 mins on the treadmill, managed to do just over 2 miles with a combo of running and walking so my focus is going to be upping my distance in the allotted time.
All in all, I feel great! And now it's time to prep for tomorrow!
Peace!
